Jordex Agencies: One year on, full steam ahead!
A year ago, the Jordex Group set a new course with the opening of Jordex Agencies. An exciting step, but one that came at exactly the right time. The market demanded a local agency that could respond quickly, was flexible and always put the customer first. Jordex took action.
Jordex Agencies Netherlands, or as we call it internally: JAN, was set up to complement the existing activities within the group. The focus? Maritime services, with the practical handling of ship visits and everything that entails in terms of logistics. No nonsense, just making sure it gets done.
Although Jordex Agencies is part of the Jordex Group, JAN navigates as a self-steering ship. However, it does maintain close ties with Jordex Customs & Compliance (JCC). This collaboration has proven to be invaluable: while Jordex Agencies focuses on the operational side, JCC ensures the smooth handling of customs formalities. Together, they ensure that goods are cleared in and out smoothly, without delay.
What started with four people has grown in one year into a close crew of twelve colleagues, and there are still vacancies. At the beginning of 2026, Jordex Agencies joined the Association of Rotterdam Shipbrokers (VRC). This strengthens our regional clout, with up-to-date knowledge, short lines of communication and a solid Rotterdam network. The result: Port Call Perfection.
Looking ahead? Our ambitions are high. Jordex Agencies wants to continue developing into a stable and indispensable link within the Jordex Group. With the same down-to-earth mentality, flexibility and customer-oriented approach, we will continue to build a strong position in the maritime sector.
